Your not even suppose to get relaxers every six to eight weeks. Overlapping chemical processes on the hair can be damaging and break your hair off even more.
For starters, go to the salon and get a professional trim, that will stop most of the breaking hair. Once the healthy hair is left, its time you take care of it. I only get relaxers every three to four months and my hair is fine with minimal shedding/breakage. Wash and deep condition once a week, a must for afro hair. Oil your scalp to maintain its health and moisturize your strands every other day, depending on how dry your hair is.
