African American Hair.?

Okay so once again another hair question =[[

soooo i learned that i have to wash my hair %26amp; condition it and keep it healthy %26amp; moisterized. will this make my hair grow???

African American Hair.?

Hair grows no matter what, the challenge is making sure that it grows to it's maximum potential and that you maintain the length. Hair grows at the average rate of 1/2 in. a month but some people have hair that grows more or less than the mean. While genetics partially determine how fast your hair grows, eating a healthy diet and/or taking daily multivitamins can help your hair grow stronger and more rapidly.

You should wash and deep condition (w/ hot oil treatments, deep conditioners, and/or protein treatments) your hair about once a week to keep your hair healthy and to minimize the breakage. The key to minimizing hair breakage is to maintain a balance between the amount of moisture and protein in the hair so that it can be strong and resilient. You can read more about African American hair in these websites and if you have more questions, don't hesitate to email me.

Get regular trims. I have my girl "dust" the ends for dry and split ends. Keep the heat tools to a minimum. Let your hair air dry and eat healthy. That should do it. Good Luck.

as much as a lot of black products would like us to believe, there is really no miracle way to suddenly make your hair grow. although there are some things that can promote hair growth. there are some essential oils you can use like basil, peppermint, rosemary. go to google or something and type in essential hair oil. also i hear amla oil is good for hair growth. and of course what you eat will affect hair growth. eat fruit, vegetables, drink plenty of water, etc. also there are some vitamins (many which are in foods you can eat) that promote hair growth like beta carotene, vitamin B-6 and more. i recommend you just do searches on things like this. i think keeping your scalp clean may help too. (avoid products that contain mineral oil! it clogs hair follicles). look at different sites that focus on black hair care i recommend: nappturality.com and growafrohairlong.com
