Green hair?

there was a lady on televisoin getting supportid for being very healthy one of the news reporters asked her why is your hair green ? the lady sucks in air through her nose and passes her hand from her nose up to her hair and says its naturall and from then on the lady never got supported for anything else!

Green hair?

huh....not funny

Green hair?

that was supose to be a blond joke u just changed it sry not funny

Averagely curly hair....?

Well my hair is naturally straight on the top, big-ish curls on the bottom. I was wondering if there is anything i could do to my hair to make the curls look more healthy , full of body and mousterized.

I use olive oil about every one to two weeks. I use head and sholders shapoo (double rinse) because i have a bit of dandruff and after i get out of the shower i towel dry, apply a dot of frizz serum and WALAH! Im done. I let it air dry, by the way.

Also...Do guys like curly hair?? Little question.

Averagely curly hair....?

Hot oil once a week. (vo5, is nice)

Only wash your hair every other day!!

On the days you don't have any product in, you can put the conditioner in first on DRY hair. It will really soak up the moisture.

Averagely curly hair....?

something that i do is use a leave in conditioner

and if you wash your hair at night, put it in a loose braid to keep the curl and add alttle wave to it

maybe try a curl defining cream to get the curls to stay together

Averagely curly hair....?

Dandruff shampoo may work great for dandruff but not for dry hair! Use a different shampoo and a leave in conditioner. Also, try Palmers Olive Oil based cream ...you can get it at Walmart. DO NOT towel dry...this will frizz your hair! Air dry and then use a defuser.

If I go vegan, will my hair fall out?

Because I know of healthy people going vegan and noticed their hair thinning out.

I want to know if my hair would thin out, because my veggie diet would be even more restrictive..

help! love

scottie x

If I go vegan, will my hair fall out?

I'm vegan, and my hair is thick - and that's even after having dreadlocks chopped off (a stereotype, I know...) Please don't rush into it, it's something that you should really research and ease into... Variety is the key.

In response to a previous answer, I have a few things to correct:

* we don't need meat in our diet, in today's society, it is easy enough to find protein, iron, et cetera, from various other sources

* vegans are less prone to cancer in comparison to meat-eaters - disease is very rare amongst us

* vegans live approximately 14 years more than meat-eaters (according to a survey done in the last year)

* Skin problems are usually caused by excess milk absorption... I don't know any vegans with noticeably bad skin

* By "all meat would die out", I'm assuming that's supposed to be animals - it's one of the oldest questions, whether it's an excuse to bring something into the world only to cause it to suffer, and eventually death - animals are not reliant on us in the least - and humane?

If I go vegan, will my hair fall out?

Yes - and so will your teeth, nails and eyeballs.

If I go vegan, will my hair fall out?

Why take that chance? My hair thinned out a few years ago when I was very anemic. It took a few years for it to come back.

If I go vegan, will my hair fall out?

i dont think that it makes your hair fall out i think thatvit just makes it more unhealthy

If I go vegan, will my hair fall out?

you need to find protein in beans and nuts.

If I go vegan, will my hair fall out?

Not if you make sure your body's nutritional needs are being met through supplements. It's a lot of extra work so please think carefully before adopting a vegan lifestyle.

If I go vegan, will my hair fall out?

no not true - I am veggie and have beautiful thick hair. Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and veggies and take a multi vitamin supplement

If I go vegan, will my hair fall out?

Hey, my hair is falling out and I am not a vegan. Technically you wouldn't be loosing out on protein if you are eating beans and peanut butter.

If I go vegan, will my hair fall out?

Well, I started about 8 months ago and I haven't noticed much of a difference. I'm 50 though so any loss would probably been normal, add the fact that I fail allot at sticking to this diet, and my answer probably would be considered a not too likely candidate for an example.

If I go vegan, will my hair fall out?

nope. I know plenty of vegans with thick hair. Hair is made of protein so just make sure you eat a lot of protein.

If I go vegan, will my hair fall out?

no thats absurd

one thing you have to do is talk to a health proffesional and ask him certain questions about nutrition. ask him what foods you would have to eat to get all your nutrients, if you skip out on nutrients, then that might cause your hair to fall out. make sure you get all nutrients i can't stress how important that is.

If I go vegan, will my hair fall out?

that's crazy talk!

i know lotsa vegans and i've been vegan for at least 6 years

and i've never heard anybody say anything about hair thinning.

If I go vegan, will my hair fall out?

No it wont make your hair fall out!!!!

If I go vegan, will my hair fall out?

The problem is people just think they can cut out meat from their diet and not change the rest of the ways they eat. You need to be eating other foods that will give you the nutrients that the meat would give you. Being a vegetarian may be kind of hard if you are a picky eater. Do some research for different foods and recipes and remember to keep your mind open and try everything. If you are going completely vegan then you will have to do the same thing for dairy. Just pay attention to what you are eating at first and try new things. It will get easier after a short while.

If I go vegan, will my hair fall out?

Hiii!!!

My mum was once a vegan...she is 43 now and her hair is quite thin, split and grey...

I don't think you should become one...because all meat we eat for a reason such as

- We need meat in our diet

- We are pron to cancer without it

- You will most like die young without it

- It makes wrinkles appear without it

- Your skin is bad without it

- If we didn't eat meat almost all meat would die out because noone is looking after it (most meat is now in the human care so is reliant on humans)

- There is lots more reasons!

ALL I SAY IS DON'T BECOME A VEGAN THERE IS NO POINT! you will die young and be ugly!

Hair...help!?

So i have dark hair and i decided to bleach it by myself...BAD IDEA! lol :) i have long hair and now its damaged just the ends tho but ive been using this new shampoo from pantene and my hair looks better day by day its shiny and it looks healthier everyday but when i brush my hair lil pieces would fall of on the sink like split ends...is that good? i know most of you guys are gonna say Go gets ur ends trimmed this and that :) but thats not my question...so let me know what u think...has it happend to you? write asap :) tnxxx

Hair...help!?

If hair is falling out, it means your hair is dead. What you need to do is buy a deep conditioning treatment (try panteen) or go see a professional and have them deep condition it.

Hair...help!?

that's not good. You need to go get the dead ends trimmed off %26amp; start using a strengthening shampoo, like Garnier Fructis.

Hair...help!?

Do this twice a week. Your'e hair will stop shedding so much.

After you wash it , rub 1 cup of full fat mayonnaise thru it. Leave on for 30 minutes, with a heating cap on your head.

Then wash out with shampoo. Style as usual. Mayonnaise makes very strong, shiny, dense strands of hair.

Hair...help!?

Get a hair cut

Before your spit ends go all the way to your scalp

Hair...help!?

You fried your hair, the ends are the weakest, and are damaged beyond repair, they will not get better, and just make all of your hair look bad...so, go to a stylist and have them trimmed. You need major conditioning, and I would suggest that while you are at the salon, have the stylist recommend a good hair repair conditioner. They will have it there for you to purchase, but expect it to be expensive. This is one of those cases where you get what you pay for. Do not put any chemicals in your hair for a long time, as you will only do more damage.

Hair...help!?

Sounds to me you have dry brittle hair.-Not good. I would suggest you make a trip to your salon and get some help.Or start adding an extra deep conditoner once a week to your daily routine . Then go and get it colored back to your orig, color . Good luck.-Has never happend to me, just ot some friends and they have added a deep conditoner and cut some of it and left it be.

Hair...help!?

Your ends have been bleached to mush. They will NOT recover. I'm sure when your hair is wet it feels much like cooked pasta. The more you comb or brush the more it is going to break. The reason why the ends are worse is because the ends are older and have had more damage done to them. The scalp hair is newer and stronger hair. Do not do anything else to your hair. Treat it kindly. No vigorous shampooing, comb with a wide tooth comb as little as possible, and let it air dry. No curling irons, flat irons, or blow drying. Please call your local salon and ask for

"Redken CAT treatment" and/or protein pack treatments. The only solution for this problem is not what you want to hear...cutting it off. Let a professional evaluate the damage and determine how much of it needs to go.

Hair...help!?

It's normal for your hair to fall out as your brusing it or washing it you just don't normally notice it. But yes you do need to go get you dead ends cut it will help your hair grow because the dead is no longer there to take up on all the good nutrients of the shampoo and conditioner.

How can I make my hair straight, but healthy?

I have wavy, frizzy hair. Sometimes it's curly and pretty, but mostly its not. does anyone know how to get my hair straight without using a lot of money?

How can I make my hair straight, but healthy?

your avatar is soo cute...okay...when you have your hair curly ..use mousse..it will keep the curls looking good...yo straighten it..use a ceramic flat iron... to keep it healthy use conditioners ...and don't straighten your hair everyday....I'd say the most..once a week...just don't sweat in your sleep

How can I make my hair straight, but healthy?

Well I have a ceramic flat iron and it works great. But it's a little pricey, about $130. It's called a CHI flat iron. I know there are others out there but I am not too sure how they work, but I know for sure you must get a ceramic flat iron to straigten your hair, it will help it stay healthy. Also try using a cream in your hair, not gel or hair spray, that will help keep it healthy also. Good Luck.

How can I make my hair straight, but healthy?

If you like you can use a MILD children's perm(Just For Me), for about 10 minutes, and then blow dry it out, then straighten. it helps a lot, and if you don't know how to do it, ask a woman that has done perms in Afrian American hair.

PS: don't do it alone, unless you are absolutely sure you know what you're doing.

How can I make my hair straight, but healthy?

use conditionor and straighten with a straightener

How can I make my hair straight, but healthy?

always condition your hair, and sometimes using hot oil for hair works as well. but you can also purchase vidal sassoon hair straightener. i've spent a lot of money trying to find a good one and i bought that one for like $10 at walmart and it work really well. it's get really hot and quick so that you don't have to spend too much time trying to straighten your hair.

How can I make my hair straight, but healthy?

Thermal Straightening. Done in a good salon is permanent but healthy, unfortunitly it costs a fortune. Get a ceramic flat iron and some spray shine to protect it from heat damage.

Is silicone liquid used as hair smoothner healthy for hair?

I think it's healthy but my cousin says it will make your hair break more. I believe pantene pro-v uses silicone, i use it and i think my hair is getting stronger

Is silicone liquid used as hair smoothner healthy for hair?

Its good but it can be drying.

Is silicone liquid used as hair smoothner healthy for hair?

Don't use too much or you may become a silly cone head!

Hair Straightener?

I'm trying to find a good flat iron that WORKS.

I previously had one called Remington Wet2Straight that was terrible and $20.

I have thin, basically straight hair ... i want it VERY [almost perfectly] straight but healthy-looking

any suggestions or favorite flat irons?!

Hair Straightener?

I was always told that a wet to dry straightener was bad for your hair but so many people on here seem to think it is the bomb. I recently purchased a flat iron and I bought the new Sedu model and I must say I love it ...it is easy to handle and it has heat control ..heats up fast ..it is just an all around good product. Lots of people on here will say CHI ...but I read the reviews on CHI and decided I did not want it. If you go to this website you can read about most all brands of flat irons and they have user reviews which I find really helpful. Also, if you decided to order from there ...there shipping is really fast and their customer service is great as well. And you have 30 days so if you buy it and it isn't what you like just send it back within the 30 days ...

http://www.folica.com/appliances/straigh...

Best of Luck ~~~

*Please read the reviews ..especially on the CHI because I am pretty sure lots of young girls will post CHI as the best.

Hair Straightener?

Conair.

Chi.

Hair Straightener?

i just bought that straightner yesterday and it works perfect with my hair

Hair Straightener?

my advice if you want healthy looking hair, dont straighten it when its wet.

but i love my bed head and its only like 70 bucks. also use product when your hair is wet before you straighten it like frizz control etc. it makes a huge difference

Hair Straightener?

Well my friend has frizzy hair very frizzy and she uses it, and it pretty much takes it all out. And you said so yourself that your hair is almost straight, so I don't see how it wouldn't work.

But by a Conair Infinity it works amazing, I have tight afro looking curls and it works wonders! It makes your hair shiny looking too. Not greasy. It's about $45.

Hair Straightener?

There's one at Target, it is $40, and it is called like gemstone ...I have it and it works soooo good! goodluck!

Hair Straightener?

the chi straightener.

Hair Straightener?

the chi is expensive but it is SO worth it!!!

i have wavy/curly hair and it stays straight ALL day!!! :D

Hair Straightener?

i have a pink CHI, it works perfectly and makes ur hair look totally healthy. its kind of pricey but it was deffinitly worth it. it also only takes like a min or 2 to heat fully up

Hair Straightener?

i live in the uk and have t3's they work fantastic for me....

Brush hair 100 times?

Has anyone heard that if you brush your hair 100 times it makes it softer and more manageable? Does this work? I straighten my hair sometimes but I want to do something more healthy for it. Know of any other methods for making hair less frizzy, wavy and thick?

Brush hair 100 times?

no its actually just an old myth.. if you brush your hair that many times it gives it more of chance for some of it to fall out bc when you brush your hair it pulls some of the hair out.. not alot but if someone is brushing there hair 100 times thats too much and you can probably lose some hair with that method. my hair is very frizzy b4 i straighten it and sometimes after i started using this leave in conditioner from Garnier Fructis and it works great i use it after i dry my hair and straighten it...then after i put it in i straighten it again and it makes it so much falter and softer.

Brush hair 100 times?

y dont u straighten ur hair

Brush hair 100 times?

But when you brush your hair loads of times dosnt it make it greasy x

Brush hair 100 times?

No, it just causes more breakage and split ends. Try conditioning treatments if you would like to make it more soft and manageable.

Brush hair 100 times?

The brushing of 100 times causes the oils to distribute throughout the hair, thus making it shiny and soft.

Brush hair 100 times?

well from me, miley cyrus it does help, but if u add herbal essence volumizing mousse it will make it look healthier but it might cause more frizz to make it less frizzy, wavy and more thick use catwalk's oatmeal and honey shampoo you can get this from salons.

Brush hair 100 times?

Really depends on your hair, but overall its not good. It can cause alot of hairs to fall out %26amp; makes your hair greasy. Well before i iron my hair..i try brushing out the waves so thats it's straighter and flater when im done. good luck :)

Brush hair 100 times?

Brushing hair makes it more damaged, especially if you do it wet. To gat less frizz use a serum like frizz-ease i think this is the best and a decent hair cut or getting it layered will make it less thick and its good for it too!As for wavy hair the only thing i can think of is straightners.

Brush hair 100 times?

Wasn't that on the Brady Bunch movie?

Brush hair 100 times?

Doesn't sound like a great idea. Your hair is a very sensitive part of your body and needs to be cared as one. Don't brush so many times and try to deep condition once a week and you'll have the health in your hair that you need.

MAJOR causes of hair loss vs simple maintanence?

Okay, I KNOW that its important for optimum hair health for it to be healthy from inside/root by good nutrition and maybe vitamins AND the length by propper trims, conditioning, an maybe hot oils at all times. What I really want to know is simple: if someone suddenly experienced major hair loss because of stress or a pregnancy (both which are known to cause hair loss) or whatever other reason, would suddenly cutting their length off or deep conditioning it/maintaning it form the outside make any difference since the cause was something so sudden that generally I would imagine it might not matter? My opinion is that if the hair was going to fall off because of major events as I mentioned, it won't matter if your hair on the outside (which is already dead) is long or short, has split ends or is soft as butter. Does this make sense? I'm only referring to outside treatment not nutrition or vitamin etc.

MAJOR causes of hair loss vs simple maintanence?

There is nothing you can do when it comes to sudden hair loss, you have to let it take it's course of shedding. A doctor could say that it is normal for hair loss to happen during pregnancy this type of hair loss is called Postpartum Alopecia and is experienced at the conclusion of pregnancy.

This sudden hair loss can happen in excess and last three to nine months after delivery. Normal growth cycles usually return w/in a year.

Alopecia Areata is the sudden falling out of hair in round patches or baldness in spots; can appear elsewhere on the body. This type is highly unpredictable and is usually an autoimmune disease that cause the affected hair follicles to be mistakenly attacked by the person's own immune system, with white blood cells stopping hair growth. (caused by Stress or other health problem)

When someone has delivered their child I suggest to always continue taking prenatal vitamins and iron so that the blood can keep receiving more nutrients. The hair always receive nutrients from the inner body. A balanced diet and exercise can stimulate hair growth.

Types of food to stay away from during this time of hair loss:

ALL JUNK FOOD: Pizza, chips, candy, etc.

Soda: Diet Pepsi, anything diet

Sugars or Fake Sugars: Splenda, Phenylalanines (splenda is a phenylalanine, do your research this sugar is in just about every sweet food; when you are in a grocery line check the back of a package of Trident and you will see it) are in alot of sweet candies, sodas, and gums, also be careful of splenda in yogurts or sweet waters

Fried Foods: chicken, fries, etc. (deep fried foods that is..)

Grains %26amp; Wheat: oatmeal, did you know that oatmeal can turn to fungus? (research it)

Foods to nourish your body during this time of sudden loss of hair:

Water, Water, Water: Add a lemon, lime or orange

ALL RAW VEGGIES

ALL RAW FRUITS

Raw veggie and fruit smoothies

Flaxseed oil: you can find recipes on the web; mix with salad or mix with orange juice and pour on salad to taste

Fish Oils

Coconut Oils

Olive Oils

Dried Fruits %26amp; Veggies

Fish: Salmon, Tuna, Halibut

I could go on and on about this stuff...but I do reccomend these things b/c the more you feed your body REAL FRESH foods, it wil love you for it.

NOTE: For someone whose body is not used to RAW Foods, they may feel ill because the body is not used to this type.

MAJOR causes of hair loss vs simple maintanence?

Hair loss can be a symptom of hormone imbalance and other health issues. So you should check with a doctor to find out the cause. Hair cuts can add some volume, products can help style, but it won't effect hair growth. There are products like rogain that are for hair replacement, but conditioners and such don't help.

MAJOR causes of hair loss vs simple maintanence?

I want to grow my hair longer...?

my hair is kinda growing, but slower than normal...

i take vitamins, i wash my hair twice a week, and 5 months ago i got a hair cut...

what can i do to make my hair grow faster, longer and healthier??

I want to grow my hair longer...?

I also am trying to grow my hair, and a couple of things I've heard that are supposed to make your hair grow faster, but I'm not sure how well they work.

1. Using jojoba oil in your hair is supposed to reduce frizziness, and damage making it healthier and some how grow faster.

2. I've heard that 'Hair Plus' shampoos and conditioners are supposed to work.

3. Also massaging your scalp often increases blood circulation to your head.

4. Braiding your hair to make it grow faster is so old fashioned and I have absolutely NO IDEA if it works.

5. Cutting the ends of your hair every 6 weeks or so

6. Also rubbing your hair with a traditional towel is supposed to be harmful, and someone has said that if you buy a silk head wrap and pillowcase thatn it should help.

Hope this helps.

I want to grow my hair longer...?

the shorter you cut it the faster it will grow

I want to grow my hair longer...?

it doesnt matter how much yooh wash ur hair but

yooh ahould was hit more than twice a week.

but idont think theres anything yooh can do to make it grow faster.try google er something?or ask ur hair stylist.

I want to grow my hair longer...?

my hair has always been very long and i never cut it and i wash it at least four tomes a week.It doesn't matter hoe short you cut you hair it won't grow any faster because you hair is dead so cutting it isn't going to hep

I want to grow my hair longer...?

I honestly don't think there is any way of making your hair grow faster.........not that I can think of. Some peoples hair just grow faster and others just take time.

I want to grow my hair longer...?

wash your hair every other day. its BAD for your hair to only wash it that much. it gets too many oils in it, and its harder to manage and weigh down.

get your hair trimmed every 3 weeks. NEVER wait for more than one month or two. your hair is unhealthy because of what your doing to it.

wash your hair every other day in lukewarm water. use a quarter size amount. massage into hair with finger tips for 2 minutes. rinse, and then use about 2 quarter sized amounts of conditioner. i shave and wash my body, then rinse the conditioner in cold water. then get out. then put in a frizz serum and dry.

this is exactly what you should do to make your hair healthy, soft, shiny, and longer.

I want to grow my hair longer...?

well just keep on doing what your doing and trim your hair every now and then, it should grow faster.

I want to grow my hair longer...?

the vitamins are a good start... and they will take time to take effect... another thing is be out in the sun... the sun is a natural source of health for your hair... i have also heard vitamin e is particularly good for your hair... another ancient remedy that i havent used before but have heard of is olive oil in your hair... along the roots and massage...

let me know if that one works :) good luck

I want to grow my hair longer...?

First of all, LET GO OF THE PILLS!!!!!!!!! I may be a total nitwit at style but i do know this, those hair vitamins are just going to hurt your body very slowly. it doesn't directly go to your hair on your head either. believe me, this may be irrelevant, but my cousin started taking pills to grow her nails longer. i don't want you or anybody to get scared, but she took them normally and one day she said she felt ill. we went to the doctor and we had to sign out a form for her. it asked if she was taking any medications and we put down the pills she was taking. we gave the papers to the lady at the counter and she looked at the paper. she said shes problably ill from the pills. and im telling YOU now, i dont want anybody to get hurt. so please stop the pills and yourr hair growth might go back to normal in a few days.( some of the dead protein the pills try to take out of your head arent really dead.)

I want to grow my hair longer...?

Vitamins B, C, F, zinc, iron, copper and protein are essential for hair growth. Drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of raw fruits and vegetables is probably the best way to achieving healthy hair.Try http://solutionsforhairgrowth.blogspot.c... for more details.

My hair issues!! lol any advice?

Ok, so I have naturally thick black hair. And when I take a shower it gets all frizzy and wavy in the front and I hate that! So I flat iron it. And usually it ends up soft and shiney. I also use this heat protection spray so my hair won't get burned.Yesteday though and the day before, I ironed my hair and it just didn't turn out the same way. It felt a bit rough and a tiny bit frizzier....I'm not exactly sure if I burned my hair but I know I damaged it. What can I do to make it look healthy again? I already use a lot of conditioner and shampoo.....

And does this mean Im gunna have to stop ironing my hair cause if I don't my hair looks FRIZZY AND ****** UP!

My hair issues!! lol any advice?

Just wash that stuff out of your hair, and straighten it again the next day like usual. I've used hairspray stuff before, and the same thing happened. But after I washed it out, I could straighten my hair again normally.

My hair issues!! lol any advice?

It seems as your hair is crying for help. Try not to use the straightener every day. You can try hair relaxers to help the frizz or special frizz control hair spray.

My hair issues!! lol any advice?

You might try the big round thing with brush prongs on it that is both a curling iron (but very low heat) and a blow drier. I use it like a brush on damp hair. It dries and smooths at the same time, but doesn't give you heat damage. I have a conair brand one, but I don't exactly know what you call it.

It is like a round metal brush that is a blow drier.

My hair issues!! lol any advice?

After your hair dries when you shower,..... all the waves and friziness,...THAT'S NORMAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Flat ironing it too much is totally bad for your hair. Even if you use a good conditioner and use serum. It'll just damage it even more every single time you use it. Try to put the heat on lower, and use it every 2 or 3 days if you can.

Wavy hair is pretty..... so just use serum that controls the frizz.

It's more frizzy because you probably have a few split ends. Get a trim, and use a hot oil treatment. Or just put olive oil in your hair for 30 minutes then take a shower.

OR buy a deep conditioner to use on your hair once a week so you don't have the same problem again.

But still,....it's damaged, and you can't fix damage hair. You have to cut it. so.... yea.

My hair issues!! lol any advice?

I suggest using Redken #12 alighn cream. i use it every day and it helps make your hair staighter and way shiney and soft. even tho you use a heat protector doesnt mean that you cant do damage to your hair over time. Flat irons are really bad bout giving you split ends and such. another that could have done it is the weather if the humidity has risen in your area your hair tends to friz easier. OR it could be from a product change. i would say yes you can still use your straightner

My hair issues!! lol any advice?

dont panic.

you should reduce the irons heat , and quickly move over the sections, staying too long can burn. Your hair is deffinetly in sad shape if you iron it everyday

Try V05 Hot oil treatments, you should use them twice a week with how much you hot iron. alot of condition and shampoo can be the wrong aproach, try a special shampoo, like sunsilk, anti poofy or straighten up, they have a whole line that helps,

The amount of damage that occurs depends on what type of straightener you use, if you use conair, or those cheap-o straighteners your dooming your hair, more expensive in this case means the better, the BEST straightener and straightener products would be the CHI, Thats what i use it works wonders,

thats all you can do about that, you hair will be less frizzy if you dont wash it as much and neverrr put it in a ponytail when its wet, your hair expands as it dries, try getting a hair cut to reduce frizz, tell them to cut off all your split ends and give you some hair advice and any hair product recommendations .

I hope I helped, good luck :D

My hair issues!! lol any advice?

you should start pressing your hair flat ironing is not healthy for it my aunt is a beautician and i know you should put African hair oil on it every day and get it on the scalp too and let it sit wrap it up when you go to sleep

I am going to dye my hair blonde...?

I had blonde hair, but as i grew older, it started turning brown, so about twice a year, I get blonde highlights touched up in my hair to make it look blonde again. I have become bored with the hightlights...I want to make it ALL blonde and am having a friend, (who dyes her hair blonde all the time and its really healthy), do it for me. Will it harm my hair? it is a light brown with blonde hightlights and pretty healthy. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to care for it, because I hear it becomes brittle and strawlike, and I guess I am just scared that my hair will fall out...I dont want to be bald. ;P

I am going to dye my hair blonde...?

I have done it for years. I too, had blonde hair as a child. And it has turned the same color as yours through the years.

I use L'Oreal's Preference in 9 1/2 BB which is a cool beige blond. It's a very nice blond color, rather light but not at all platinum. Ash is also a cool color, but looks gray--I don't like it. Warm colors have too much red for me.

Anyway, I do nothing special to keep my hair healthy. I use White Rain shampoo and Pantene conditioner. I do not use a beautician because I swear what they do is more brutal (and stinky). My hair is silky and not at all like straw. Granted, I do NOT perm it or use much hairspray, and when I use a hair dryer I wait until it's nearly dry and THEN dry it the rest of the way.

I have done this for over 20 years. My hair is thick as ever.

I say go for it! Hair colors do not make you bald. Just stay away from the stripper and bleaches. That is only used for dark brunettes and it's brutal on hair, and SHOULD be done by a salon. Just follow the directions on the haircolor box. Easy as pie!

EDIT: Unlike what somebody said up there, blond is not hard to keep. It can't fade! Just keep the roots touched up. And if you have red or gold highlights you don't like, use a cool blond color and you will not get red hair. I seem to be the only one here who has done this myself! Heck with the salon.

I am going to dye my hair blonde...?

dont let ur friend do it!!!!! get a real hairdresser to do it!!!! if u let ur friend do it it will definetly go bad!!!!

I am going to dye my hair blonde...?

Look on the bright side if it does fall out you could always become a buddist.

I am going to dye my hair blonde...?

i used to have really blonde hair as a kid but mine also turned brownish as i got older..

get it done at the hairdresser first and then have her touch it up when you need it.

that way its done correctly and will probably be a better overall colour and then you can just get it touched up! :)

I am going to dye my hair blonde...?

Unless your friend is a professional don't let her do it. Go to a reputable salon, you need to be very careful when using over the counter hair dye blond will turn brown hair orange!

I am going to dye my hair blonde...?

first of all unless youre friend majorly f*cks up your hair is not going to fall out.. yes dying it damages it.. also blonde is very hard to keep up especially when you have brown hair. your are going to have to dye it religiously every 4-6 weeks..

I also had blonde hair as a child that gradually got a little darker as I got older. ( then I had kids ) WOW!! talk about hormonal change overnight.. my hair went from dark blonde to medium brown.. needless to say I was a little shell shocked.. i believe the words what the f*ck happened to my hair?? came out of my mouth... I keep my hair medium brown with Caramel or honey colored highlights its very pretty and not much upkeep because when it starts to grow out it blends in.. so I dont have dark roots and light hair like you would if you had total blond hair.. also I use Redken All Soft shampoo and Conditioner.. to keep my hair soft.. I dye my hair about once every 4 months or so..saves money and also saves my hair.. did I mention if you have any Natural gold or red highlights (they dont have to show up to be there) in your hair blond will turn it orange ??? better to let a stylist do it..

I am going to dye my hair blonde...?

Well, you could go bald because your friend don't have the same head as you.

You should go to a hair salon or something, buy hair dye thingy and read the instruction. it will say wether this that will harm you.

I am going to dye my hair blonde...?

Well any lift of color will damage your hair. I have my hair died very light blond and it is very damaged, leave the bleaching up to the pros %26lt;---strongly recommended! Or stick with the highlights you have and maybe get some low lights, maybe auburn or caramel, and if you do decide to go with your friend dyeing your hair, I recommend that you get a product called aPhogee, it is a PH balancer and it is done in two steps. you can get it at sally's or they have a website www.aphogee.com and it worked wonders for my hair for a few weeks. I would suggest getting the bottles though. Good luck

I am going to dye my hair blonde...?

I know how you feel. And trust me the first time you definately want to go to a hairdresser, then you can ask tehm what products and brands to use for your hair.

What's the best way to take care of natural hair for black women?

My hair is extremely kinky, very curly, healthy, but very hard to comb. I do not choose to use chemicals, however, I do wear wigs and weaves. It's getting too hot to wear those now.

What's the best way to take care of natural hair for black women?

Do you shampoo wash? I'm natural, but I don't wash with 'poo, I wash with conditioner. VO5 conditioner.

Also, try putting your hair in natural styles, such as twists, braids, bantu knots, etc. They look good, and they help protect your hair from damage. And try not to comb often. I only comb about 3-4x/month. I have too much hair, I'd rip it all out with daily combing. Deep condition, at the very least, 2x/month. Natural black hair NEEDS moisture.

Hope that helped!

What's the best way to take care of natural hair for black women?

Just use a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, and use a leave in conditioner. keeping your hair moisturized is the key to non kinky hair. A wide tooth comb will be your best friend also. I know it's mine. anyways find a good gel that works for you to bring out your curls. and keep your scalped greased also. Hope I helped some. Please add me to your contacts and email me w/ any hair questions you have via yahoo answers.

What's the best way to take care of natural hair for black women?

wide tooth combs, only comb wet hair, try a braid set, it helps to tame it

leave in hair conditioners, reduce shampoo useage and try a conditioner wash instead, no greases, natural oils are better.

I want to know

but I'm White

I'm rely couldn't take care of my hair

What's the best way to take care of natural hair for black women?

Braids are great for the summer time. It sounds like you have really try hair, a good moisturizing conditioner can remedy that problem. Try Queen Helene Cholesterol conditioning cream( get this item from local drug store). Remember once you apply this on your hair use a wide tooth comb (while wet) to clear your hair out.

Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!

Hoofmaker for hair growth?

I was looking for ways to strengthen my hair when I bumped into this beauty blog and one person said that they use hoofmaker in their hair not the mane and tail brand the one from a feed store that they use with the horses. They said that they put it in the scalp and on the ends and leave it in for a few minutes then wash it out and that now she sits on her hair. Is this good for human hair and if it penetrates the scalp is that healthy?

Hoofmaker for hair growth?

well ok go to a hair doctor or an animal doctor call them up and ask them if it is ok to use on a human head... good luck, i dont know :)

I have long, rugh and wavy hair but I want long healthy glowing ans straight hair what to do?

my daughter has the same problem

she straightens her hair every morning with her flat hair iron, it looks so much different than the curly hair (the iron costs $79.00)

so she can have curly hair when she wants or straight hair another day - depends on her mood. it takes her about 30 minutes to straighten her hair in the morning

I have long, rugh and wavy hair but I want long healthy glowing ans straight hair what to do?

It's hard to change the texture of yout hair unless you have it straightened or go for that Japanese straightening procedure.

I have long, rugh and wavy hair but I want long healthy glowing ans straight hair what to do?

Get a new head (LOL). go to a good hairdresser they wil advise you!!

I have long, rugh and wavy hair but I want long healthy glowing ans straight hair what to do?

you have to cut it once in awhile duh

I have long, rugh and wavy hair but I want long healthy glowing ans straight hair what to do?

Paul Mitchell Pomeade and a flat iron.

I have really long hair when it's straight and very tight, thich short hair when it's curly.

My best friend is also a licensed hair dresser for about 15 years now. She taught me this secret.

Wash and condition your hair like normal. Put a little bit of the paul mitchell pomeade in your hair and comb through. Let it air dry. As a matter of fact, I normally flat iron my hair later that evening after my hair had a chance to really dry.

Get a really good flat iron like a Che (i) - it's about $80 but it's WORTH it.

You basically use a comb, part your hair in sections and run the flat iron through it. Should take about 20-30 minutes and lasts 4-5 days.

For the days you want more body (because the flat iron will make it really thinned out and the the plates are titanium which emit steam at high temperatures and the hair shaft becomes moisturized) blow dry your hair (yes, the dry hair) upside down, using a comb. Lotta body girl.

Diva

I have long, rugh and wavy hair but I want long healthy glowing ans straight hair what to do?

It's much better you get your hair straightend at a salon, so you don't have to worried about you curly wavy hair in 6 months. they will look great. But make sure you go to the nice salon, but ai didn't mention going to the expensive one

I dyed my hair black, is this color unattainable?

About a 5 or 6 weeks ago I dyed my hair black with a semi permanent dye. It's faded a bit, it's not blue-black, you can see brown in the sunlight.

Anyway, I would love this style:

http://i16.tinypic.com/4xw6fbn.jpg

(Dark brown with blonde highlights)

In approximately 1 month (10 weeks after black dye) would this be okay? Or would my hair be fried to death?

(Note: I have dyed my hair MANY times before - but it is healthy.)

I dyed my hair black, is this color unattainable?

I think you could do it. Just go to a salon to have it done!

p.s. i love that hairstyle too

Anyone tried organic hair color?

I assumed it's more healthy? I recently saw this salon offers organic hair coloring, so just wondering if anyone tried it before. What's the outcome?

Anyone tried organic hair color?

i tryed something called organic semi permanent dye.. its dye that lasts just as long as permanent but it takes all the bad stuff out of it.. It just washes out after 28 washes or sumthin it varies :)

Anyone tried organic hair color?

HEY i CAN SEE THAT A LOT OF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ORGANIC HAIR COLORS, ASK YOUR HAIRDRESSER FOR JALYD COLOR HEADS, THEY ARE NON AMMONIA AND NO PEROXIDE, YOU CAN COLOR YOUR HAIR SAFE WITH THEM, IF YOU WANT MORE INFO , LET ME KNOW, I KNOW WHERE YOU FIND HAIRDRESSERS WITH THIS COLOR LINE. Report It

Anyone tried organic hair color?

i've used henna, but you have to be careful - i never heard of organic hair color

Anyone tried organic hair color?

It's bullocks. Sorry, but if you want a strong color you'll have to use chemicals.

Anyone tried organic hair color?

I only use Henna powder which is natural. It is wonderful and I am assuming the organic coloring is a form of henna.

Great stuff!

Anyone tried organic hair color?

Hair color is not unhealthy or harmful. It is perfectly fine to use any type of hair color. Organic or henna is not any more safe than regular chemical hair colors. The only difference is that "natural" or henna hair dyes only come in a few colors, aren't very strong, and you can't dye over them until it's ALL THE WAY GROWN OUT. Not fun. I'd recommend just using a regular DIY at home hair color or going to a salon.

Anyone tried organic hair color?

Try using henna. There are all shades of reds, browns and blacks to choose from, the colour effect is way more intense than normal dyes, its really good for your hair and all completely natural. I'd say in any case it would be better than using chemical dyes.

I am 14, I have pubic hair, no armpit hair, and a 4 inch hard penis will my penis grow and y is my "***" clear

First of all, you are not a retard as one person stated. I wish I had a sounding board like this when I was your age.. First of all, you are only 14, still going through puberty. Chances are your penis will grow more over the next couple years. However if you don't, and some guys are small, I am, do not sweat it. Size is not everything as there are lots of ways to satisfy a woman.

When will you get armpit hair? why? when you sweat it is smelly and gross looking. I keep my shaved, and my pubic hair too as it is more sanitary.

And your *** is clear, is just another indication you are still going through puberty. It will change, but you will have clear all your life, it is just called pre***, which is like a lubricate that comes out before you shoot. But time will bring more for you.

I am 14, I have pubic hair, no armpit hair, and a 4 inch hard penis will my penis grow and y is my "***" clear

hello just wait till you are 16 then you ask. because by that time you will already experience all that question you ask

Am I the only idiot that greases my scalp or are there other products that I can use to keep Afro ha

Your so silly your not an idiot because you still grease your scalp, your just behind in the times and thats okay if you dont know you dont know. Now that you know you'll do better and stop using all that heavey grease. Scalps dont need to be greased , they didnt back in the 80's when we thought they did. Go and get some Moisture rich products like I told you on the last question I answered regarding this

Am I the only idiot that greases my scalp or are there other products that I can use to keep Afro hair healthy

my mom is full black and has afro hair but its really short so she has it in twists..

erm she uses a spray called better braids which condition your scalp and hair but at the same time it doesn't make it greasy.

we r in the uk by the way so i don't know if u can get it in your country if your not over here.

xxx

Am I the only idiot that greases my scalp or are there other products that I can use to keep Afro hair healthy

There's nothing like black , kinky , greasy hair .

Am I the only idiot that greases my scalp or are there other products that I can use to keep Afro hair healthy

wow people are racist. i think tere are other prodects yu can use that wouldnt make your greasy. try walmart

http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2963361?Cate...

Am I the only idiot that greases my scalp or are there other products that I can use to keep Afro hair healthy

No, you are not an idiot. It is tradition to use grease on African American hair, however due to the advancement of technology we now have products that are more effective than grease.

Try using a scalp conditioner vs. grease. It will not weigh down your hair and will allow your hair to be more manageable. I recommend Revlon's Vitapoint. It's a bit pricey, but it's the only product I have seen to actually grow hair.

Good luck!

p.s you can get doo gro at walmart or sallys

How can I make my HAIRS thick %26amp; healthy?

Second time around for this question and answer Ricky.

1. Start with taking a complete male liquid vitamin.

(ask a phaemasist to help you with picking one out)

2. Buy hair products that plump up the hair shafts, hair is dead once it grows outside of your scalp, so all you can do is cosmetic things to it at that point. Such as use the VOLUMIZING hair products that plump up your hair and give it volume.

3. Use moose made for thin hair, to give it volume.

4. Take fish oil (cod liver oil) pills, but ask the person at the counter (pharmasist) how much you should take, if it doesn't tell you on the bottle.

5. Try rogaine. (hair product for balding men, but if you have fine hair it might help also.)

6. Some people think if you shave your hair it grows back thicker, science says that isn't the case - but still some people claim it's true for them. You could shave and give it a shot (for chest area, etc.)

7. Ask your Doctor or better yet, a dermitoligist.

The answers about getting haircuts at normal intervals is true, as is using hot oil treatments or conditioning treatments. This all prevents dry hair and split ends, which leads to broke hair shafts and not so nice hair. The scalp massage is also a true one, it's a scientific fact that more blood flow to the scalp helps hair (it's like feeding a plant).

Also an important one is EAT RIGHT and DRINK LOTS OF WATER! Your hair is being fed while it's still under the skin (your scalp). Your body needs at least eight 8 oz glasses of clean water a day to function properly. You also need to eat a higher protien diet (fish, chicken, lean beef, eggs, peanutbutter) because hair is made out of protien and needs it for good growth, and strength.

Help! I'm in my teens and I already have white hair. How do I deal with this?

Should I dye my hair? Stop eating a certain kind of food? Take medication? Pluck the white strands out? I'm not a stressed out person and I'm pretty healthy, but the sprouting of white hair is kinda getting into my nerves.

Help! I'm in my teens and I already have white hair. How do I deal with this?

It's genetic sweetie. I've heard some people say that if they take Fo-ti it changes thier hair back. I've also heard that taking vitamin B will help, but chances are you are stuck with dying it for life, or being loud and proud about it. It can be very pretty, especially with a young face.

Don't be too worried. Taylor Hicks started getting white hair at the age of 15. If you have a big problem with white hair then just dye it.

yeah,u can dye it,=)no problemo

Help! I'm in my teens and I already have white hair. How do I deal with this?

I would go with accept it or dye it. Or if it is a few unimportant strands, cut it. Of course, that is a temporary solution, so I guess dying it is the best alternative.

Age has nothing to with grey or white hair anymore. Many start to get this in their teens. Best bet is do some blonde or lighter highlites or touch up with a color that matches your own. But Mutli tone color (like highlites) will camouflage better.

Hair with very specific needs help?

I just recently cut my hair about jaw length because of the severity of my spilt ends. I have extremely thick hair and dandruff and my scalp itches all the time. I've also my hair 3 times and recently dyed it back to my natural color to grow it out. I would like to grow it out again but want to do it in a healthy way. I can't stand not washing my hair every day because I feel dirty and blow drying my hair is the only way to style it. I use Biolage leave-in conditioned and SilkTherapy leave-in every day but it doesn't touch it. How do I fix or cure or manage my hair on a very small budget so it's healthy again.

Hair with very specific needs help?

you can still have healthy hair even if you do wash it every day. so keep using Biolage leave-in conditioner (Biolage is a fantastic product) use it on wet hair and this will look after it and keep it moisturized even whilst blow drying. instead of dying your hair to maintain your colour to suit your regrowth use a semi permanent colour, you can get these in mousse or cream, this should help you maintain and condition your hair without using harsh peroxided and ammonia which is in hair dyes. Use a good shampoo and conditioner, Sunsilk is budget wise and really a great product. and do a treatment or hot oil treatment once every week. good luck.

Hair with very specific needs help?

-don't use hair drier (air dry instead)

-massage hair often

-use cold water when rinsing hair so that the strands won't be damaged

-apply apple cider vinegar to dandruff

Hair with very specific needs help?

long range plans to have healthy hair needs patience.

you could start with the dandruff. tar based shampoos are designed for sensitive skin and dandruff. head and shoulders has shampoo and shampoo/conditioner.

when you're done with the dandruff....a matter of days ,i would think, then supply yourself with a worthy shampoo and conditioner for future use.

if your hair is very dry , a hot oil treatment might be in order. this is available at your neighbourhood drug store. then you may begin your daily hundred strokes of the brush to distribute your scalp's natural oil evenly.

Why does my hair feel and look so dry and brittle the next morning?

After I wash, dry, and straighten my hair, it looks so soft shiny and healthy. But then lately, when I wake up the next morning, it looks like straw! It looks and feels so dry and brittle and I feel like I need to re-wash it and style it all over again...and I would rather not have to wash my hair every day. Does this happen to anyone else? What do you do the next morning to keep your hair looking and feeling soft without re-washing it all over again?

Why does my hair feel and look so dry and brittle the next morning?

I don't know what shampoo you're using, but shampoos can strip your hair of natural oils which make it feel soft and look shiny. I know herbal essences has detergent in it and it's really bad (atleast for my hair). You should get a salon brand of hair products. Go into Sally Beauty Supply. They have some good Loreal stuff as well as some good "generic" brands for Redken and Matrix.

The heat from the straightener is also very bad for your hair. The more you do it the more damaged your hair will be. You need a protectant in your hair like BioSilk Serum (look on e-bay.. wayyyy cheaper). You should probably also look into some kind of deep conditioner. Hope it helps.

Why does my hair feel and look so dry and brittle the next morning?

its probably because u have the striathener to hott

Why does my hair feel and look so dry and brittle the next morning?

Use a flat iron protector spray, your iron is probably too hot. I suggest you use a ceramic or ion flat iron :o)

Why does my hair feel and look so dry and brittle the next morning?

well, first things first. you shouldnt wash your hair twice a day! that is so bad for your hair!!! people say you shouldnt wash your hair even everyday (but thats just gross so i wash mine everyday) i usually use condiitoner after i wash my hair. I also blowdry my hair almost everyday, but not straighten it- do you think you could be burning your hair? you should get ceramic straighteners and also use a product on your hair while you are straightening it to protect it like straightening mousse or something and this will make your hair softer and make sure that straightness lasts for a long time AND if you do accidentally burn your hair, itll only by the mousse you burn! and maybe to let your hair recover, you could put on a hair mask, they usually are great and also go to the hairdressers and ask for your hair to be treated when the wash it, like when i go to mine they usually ask if i want normal or treatment and i always say 'whatevers better for my hair'- being treatment, and i get that done about every once a month. best is to try and ease it off a bit on the straightening thing for now tho. and deffo use some condiitoner!

Why does my hair feel and look so dry and brittle the next morning?

well straightening your hair sucks the moister out of it. It may look healthier when you straighten it but its killing it. so i think you straighting is the problem. So for a while dont do anything to your hair, and do some deep conditioning. Panteen have also come out with a hair reparing shampoo

Why does my hair feel and look so dry and brittle the next morning?

The best answer to your question is easy, for me I put oil or a moisturiser on it and I throw a scarf on it that way when I wake up my hair's bouncy curly and full with shine and a beautiful texture to it, using Aloe or other products may be helpful for you to have the "perfect" hair hidden under that pile of hay or dry hair.

Hope this helps send some feedback for more information(s)

Why does my hair feel and look so dry and brittle the next morning?

I think the biosilk serum is too heavy for your hair so the next morning it is soaking into your hair and making it look flat and dry Try using biosilk shine spray or any shine spray it wont be as heavy. also try not to use the flat iron too much. It also sounds like you need a good conditioning treatment

Why does my hair feel and look so dry and brittle the next morning?

Sounds like your straightener is too hot. Cool it down and your hair will look like you just did it!

I don't want to damage my hair.?

I want to keep my hair healthy and avoid any damage, like split ends. How can I do this and fix my hair?

I like to do all kinds of stuff to it - curl, wave, straighten, put it up in different hair clips and such. It's long and strawberry brunette, and I like it a lot - until I step outside. I live in South Louisiana, where very very high humidity is giving ladies bad hair days year round.

In short, I want my hair to look good without damaging it. Please help me.

Thanks. :)

Tips To Stop Hair Loss %26amp; Keep Healthy Hair Here are some hair care tips that you can use to help stop hair loss and keep your existing hair healthy and looking great. Please don't take these tips lightly. They are very important . The only thing they require is your time and commitment.

- Massage your scalp with your fingertips (not your nails) daily to stimulate and promote circulation to your scalp and reduce excess fallout. Invert your head while you shampoo %26amp; massage your scalp. This helps promote blood circulation to the head.

- Essential oils %26amp; tea . To stimulate scalp circulation, massage the scalp with rosemary essential oil or rinse hair with tea made from sage.

- Comb or brush your hair and scalp gently in the morning and at night. This helps break up hardened oils (sebum) that are clogging your hair follicles. Doing this alone has produced new hair growth. Do not over do combing or brushing.

- keep a distance from dryer's heat. When using blow dryers, always keep the heat a good distance from your scalp and hair. Avoid heating the scalp and hair excessively. Excessive heat will increase hair loss, and excess fallout.

- Avoid getting hair creams, lotions, styling gels and sprays directly on the scalp as they will clog your hair follicles. Use a light hold spray if you must.

- After swimming in a pool, shampoo your hair as soon as possible to remove any chlorine residue. Chlorine is extremely damaging to the hair and scalp.

- Avoid over-exposing your hair and scalp to the wind and sun. Good hair care over a long period really makes a difference!

- Avoid tight hats and caps as they contribute to poor circulation, depriving the hair of proper nutrition and stunting new hair growth. The sweat, dirt and grime around the rim inhibit follicle health and contribute to build-up.

- Always consult your health care provider for extreme causes of excess fallout and thinning. A medical condition or medication could be causing hair loss side-effects.

- Strive for balance and harmony in both your personal and professional lifestyle. High stress factors can cause your body to react by fluctuating hormone levels. This in turn causes excessive oil secretion (sebum) which results in hair loss.

- Pregnancy, nursing, menopause, and even birth control medication can cause constant changing factors on your nutritional needs and hormonal levels which contribute to hair loss and excess fallout.

- Avoid "crash and fad" diets. Proper nutritious meals along with vitamin and mineral supplements are a key factor for healthy hair and skin.

- Good hair care starts with awareness. These hair care tips, if followed consistently, will reduce excess fallout, hair loss, and promote new hair growth.

- Reduce hair loss effects by increasing your intake of vitamin C found in fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly citrus fruit and juices, parsley, broccoli, green peppers and black currants. Take a vitamin B complex everyday or brewers yeast. Increase your intake of protein found in meat, fish, liver, wheat germ, dried cooked beans and peas, tofu, cheese, milk and eggs.

- Take dietary supplements such as Vitamin B6, zinc %26amp; saw palmetto. Supplements are useful when you can't get enough from natural food sources.

- The Chinese believe that hair is nourished by the blood, and therefore influenced by the kidney %26amp; liver. Treatment is aimed at these organs using fleece flower root, wolfberry fruit or mulberry fruit.

- Eliminate stress or else it can be disastrous to your precious hair!

- Get enough sleep. Sleeping well is essential for the health of your hair as well as for the rest of your body.

There are ways you can help stop the grease from appearing but you have to work at it.

Do not wash everyday. The cleaner your hair is the more it can seep into your glands and harder it is to get rid of. When you do wash make sure you are washing with a cleaning shampoo and scrubbing the build up off. Take in mind that you also have to have a ph-balanced mild shampoo and lite scrubbing is recommended. Try to avoid conditioner at the roots, apply in the middle or on the ends.

Try to avoid oil in your daily food intake. And do eat more vegetables. You could visit your doctor but only after you check and consider your diet, drugs, alcohol, and your fatty food intake. Let's face it we see what McDonalds can do to your heart in a month, can you image your hair. You would be dripping everywhere.

Maybe it's time to change your shampoo. Ask your stylist what she or he would recommend. Avoid using shine products at all costs. Keep away from two-in-one shampoos and conditioners and any frizz serums.

To fix at the moment, rub a little Talcum Powder on your dried hair at the roots. Just make sure you wash it out. I wish they would event that magic product, but this will help until they do.

Here are 10 tips for to keep your hair strong, smooth, shiny and beautiful!

1. Keep your diet balanced, and eat protein and calcium rich foods. Stay away from junk foods! This is essential for healthy hair.

2. Foods and supplements to nourish your hair:

* Beans

* Yogurt

* Almonds

* Vitamin B

* Fish

* And of course, the magic potion for beauty - WATER

3. Before washing your hair, comb it well to make sure all knots has been loosened from your hair.

4. Before applying shampoo, use warm water (35 to 38 degrees Celsius) to run through your hair to rinse and wet it thoroughly.

5. When applying shampoo or conditioner, don't use your fingernails to scrape through your hair. Instead, use your palm and fingertips to massage your scalp and hair gently, in circular motions. This will help the circulation and also help to keep your hair shiny and smooth.

6. After rinsing away all the shampoo, run water over your hair for at least another half a minute (3 minutes is best) to ensure there are no remains of shampoo remaining in your hair, since this will cause a great deal of damage to your scalp.

7. When applying hair treatment products, do so just after you have washed your hair, so that your hair can absorb all the good stuff while it is half wet. This will be the best time for it to absorb nourishment.

8. NEVER go to bed with your hair wet! Hair that is half wet is most easily broken, and if you sleep during this time, your hair will be rubbing against each other, damaging your hair in the most terrible way.

9. Too much pressure may lead to hair loss! Relax... try some good relaxation methods such as soaking in a nice scented bath, listening to music, and eating healthy comfort foods such as strawberries and grapes.

10. Perming and coloring seriously damages your hair. Avoid it as much as possible. Also, when using hair setting products such as gel or putty, use as little as possible, because they hurt your scalp and hair. Wash them out thoroughly afterwards with a shampoo specially created for removing styling products.

I don't want to damage my hair.?

don't blow dry it, buy good shampoo/conditioner (the salon stuff works wonders, even if it is expensive), get it trimmed occasionally to avoid split ends. Find a few simple styles that don't put too much stress on your hair (no constant curling, straightening) and use them; only put your hair through real torture on special occasions. People will start expecting your hair to always look like you just stepped out of a salon if you always try for it. Accept that you can't look like a magazine front cover model. Ponytails, pigtails, half-up/half-down, anything that involves just a brush and a few hairties (or clips) are generally fine for your hair. Avoid dye, or even worse bleach, as much as you can (my hair is super-thin from repeated dying). Henna is good for your hair (color or not, as a conditioner), but don't dye over it.

I don't want to damage my hair.?

Have you tried any of the new products that respond to heat styling? In other words, they work because of the heat from the blow dryer, curling iron, etc... My sister-in-law heat styles her hair everyday, usually with a flat iron, and swears by these products. They must work because she has great hair. Also, my hair stylist told me to always rinse my hair in cool to cold water after conditioning. This seals the hair shaft, trapping in the conditioner. She also recommends weekly hot oil treatments (the kind you use after shampooing, not VO5 which is used then shampooed out). To tame the frizzies, I use a shampoo specifically made for this by Rusk and Back to Basics conditioner. Everyone (and their hair) is different, but these seem to work better than anything else I've ever tried.

I don't want to damage my hair.?

I have to agree conditioner is the way to go!! I use mayonnaise, and my hair has never been so healthy... When applied to wet hair, combed through evenly, covered with a plastic cap, and leave on for 20-30 minutes under a warm dryer, the mayonnaise will make your hair soft and manageable. (Remember to rinse the mayo thoroughly from the hair.) The oil, egg and vinegar in mayo work to nourish the hair, help close the cuticle layer and give a protective coating. It will leave the hair shiny, smoother and easier to style

Hair lightening :) i wanna experience to be a blond head, would my IQ stay the same?

If one wants to dye dark brown hair to blond as up about to Lindsy Lohan's current hair tone,, at the same time remain healthy and shiny

What are the steps?

What are the products?

Also about eyebrow tinting, any good products u know of? is it harmful for the eye?

Thank you very much

Hair lightening :) i wanna experience to be a blond head, would my IQ stay the same?

Use Born Blonde hair lightener. Then tp get the color ,use the Born Blonde toner(haircolor) Make sure to condition it afterwards %26amp; keep a really good eye on the bleach. It will take quite a while for it to take. Leave the eyebrow tinting to the pros. If you get them arched ,you probally won't have to do anything else to them. All haircolor of any kind is harmful to the eyes.

Also ,have you considered maybe doing some light highlights? There are severl kits at the store to choose from. And it would be way better on the hair%26amp; take a lot less time to do.

Hair lightening :) i wanna experience to be a blond head, would my IQ stay the same?

looking at that question i can say that it doesn't matter if you're a blonde or not ;)

Hair lightening :) i wanna experience to be a blond head, would my IQ stay the same?

Your best bet would be to go to the salon!

Hair lightening :) i wanna experience to be a blond head, would my IQ stay the same?

No, it won't change your IQ. The steps are :

1. Look in a phonebook and find a popular, good, affordable salon in your area.

2. Call that salon and schedule an appointment.

3. Print off a color picture of Lindsey Lohan with blonde hair.

4. Bring the picture to the appointment, and also say that you want your eyebrows lightened so your hair looks natural.

They will do the rest. They're professionals and know what they are doing. It's worth the money, and is only like $45, but it depends on the salon you go to.

Eyebrowing tinting isn't harmful to the eyes.

If you don't want to go to a salon then go to Wal-Mart and pick out the color you want and follow the directions. It's extremely simple. Color Match and L'oreal are good products.

Can different hair dye colors do different things to your hair?

I got my hair dyed awhile ago, and I noticed that the light blonde I put it made straightening my hair harder because it made my hair more rough and frizzy. But the darker brown I had also put in looked healthier and did not make my hair frizzy or anything like the blonde. So I was just wondering if you dye your hair darker colors[i.e-brown, black] would it make your naturally blonde hair easier to manage?[i.e-straighten] And if you get a lot of blonde put in would it make your hair more rough and/or harder to manage?

Can different hair dye colors do different things to your hair?

it depends on the nature of your hair actually. and the straightening effects that you had mentioned depends on the brands of dye you bought. Some good ones are better and it will not cause huge damages to your hair

Can different hair dye colors do different things to your hair?

Dying your hair damages and drys out your hair because of the chemicals in it

Can different hair dye colors do different things to your hair?

that makes sense because the blonde is a bleach containing peroxide and it is more damaging to your hair. It makes mine feel coarse too, for the first few weeks. While the brown isn't full of peroxide and therefore healthier. I suggest a haircut after bleaching or perming to snip the ends, and a lot of moisturizing conditioner. The lighter the blonde color the more it will damage your hair; making it harder to manage---de-tangler or anti frizz serum helps for that also. Don't bleach very often. I wear my hair in three to four colors, one is blonde, but I use honey, caramel, light golden brown and a rich brown.

I also don't like to color my hair all over; I pull it through a cap and just streak it.

Hope this helps.

How do I get my hair a perfect blonde?

Hi, last night I bleached my hair for the fourth time (over a four %26amp; a1/2 month span) It's healthy as anything, no breakage, not dry, etc, it's fine. The only thing is, there are still some streaks of an orangey-gold colour! I'm guessing this is because I started off with an auburn hair colour, %26amp; before that I had a fire truck red hair colour, so it's been red an awful lot over my hair dying life, haha. Anyway, I've never used toner before and that's what everyone is telling me to do. I don't even know what toner is or looks like. Can someone recommend a good one (with a link or a picture please) that will get those orange streaks out of my hair? (Or am I going to have to bleach it AGAIN?) It needs to be something I can either get online/at wal-mart/rite-aid/or sallys beauty supply. Thanks guys.

How do I get my hair a perfect blonde?

THE REASON U HAVE THE ORANGY TONE IS BECAUSE OF UR NATURAL HAIR COLOR. U NEED TO TONE IT STOP BLEACHING AND USE A DEMI OR SEMI COLOR TO TONE THOSE BRASSY TONES DOWN, U SHOULD END UP WITH A SMOOTHER COLOR. ALSO TREAT UR HAIR PUT SOME PROTEIN IN IT OR DO A DEEP CONDITIONING TREATMENT. IF UR HAIR IS OVERLY POROUS THE COLOR TENDS TO GRAB ON BETTER IN CERTAIN AREAS AND MAY RESULT BLOTCHY.

How do I get my hair a perfect blonde?

Go to the hair dresser and bring in a picture of what color you want exactly ..and tell the hair dresser you want it exactly like this ! And they should be able to do it like you want it ! DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF ..you are going to kill your hair ..bleaching your hair is the worst thing for your hair ..just listen to me please ! Take my advice ! Best of luck !

How do I get my hair a perfect blonde?

You have to bleach all the color out first. Then use a toner for the color you want. Darker hair has to have all the pigment out of it first or else it will always be that reddish color.

How do I get my hair a perfect blonde?

My sister had her hair bleached at a salon from a medium brown color (she's actually naturally blonde but has been dying her hair for the past three years) and then two months later she went in to get foils to get that perfect blonde. She looks so cute now, it's amazing haha. Anyways I would recommend going to a professional, or buying regular hair dye and putting it on those orange streaks.

How do I get my hair a perfect blonde?

I feel ya man. The same thing happened to me earlier this year. Except my hair was pure white and bright orange. The ugliest thing you could possibly imagine. I was going to try and fix it with a toner, but I went to a salon instead so I wouldn't eff up my hair any further. Go to a salon, yeah it's more expensive. But the toner may not be able to completely fix the damage and your hair will be even more brittle.

How do I get my hair a perfect blonde?

HONESTLY, THE BEST WAY TO DO IT IS YOU GO TO A SALON AND LET A PROFESSIONAL COLORIST DO IT.

IF YOU ARE SAVING MONEY, YOU CAN BUY HAIR COLOR FROM THE DRUGSTORE, LOREAL IS A GOOD BRAND. DON'T FORGET TO BUY JOHN FRIEDA FOR BLONDES SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER (ALSO AVAILABLE AT DRUGSTORES) FOR EVERYDAY USE %26amp; COLOR MAINTENANCE. THEN, GO GET AN INTENSIVE OVERNIGHT TREATMENT (I PERSONALLY USE FEKKAI PROTEIN RX OVERNIGHT TREATMENT, YOU CAN GET THEM AT SEPHORA.COM FOR $65--EXPENSIVE BUT REALLY GOOD) TO PREVENT DAMAGE DUE TO BLEACHING.

*P.S. COLOR YOUR HAIR AFTER 3 WEEKS. DON'T DO IT AT ONCE TO LESSEN DAMAGES.

How do I get my hair a perfect blonde?

Okay yes a toner would be best to use

but instead of going to a salon

try a sally beauty supply

they'll have your toner and can help

you understand how to do it the right way

so you don't mess your hair up

also check with one of store representatives

about all this and let them know how many times you've

bleached your hair

I'd also recommend a deep conditioner to

make sure no damage comes to your hair.

But just talk to them they'll be able to help you out

a lot.

How do I get my hair a perfect blonde?

Ok first off, do not bleach your hair anymore. If it is as healthy as you say it is just use a toner. Go to Sally's or any salon/supply store and get some sort of toner or toner shampoo like simply silver made by matrix. It is the same stuff old ladys use when they have gray hair and they want it white. It is dark purple when you look at it but trust me that it will not turn your hair purple. If you look at a color spectrum orange or brassy color is the exact opposite of purple. It will balance out. You might have to do it a few times, but it's better than bleaching your head so many times you hair turnes to cotton candy. Good Luck...

I have dark brown hair i want to bleech it?

my friend bleeched hers 15 times and her hair isnt fully fried at all

if i bleeched it on saturday and then again on sunday how long would i need to leve the dye on for it to be blonde buy the seccond die then im going to cut about an intch off so it makes it a bit healthier. i cant go to hair dresses becuase we cant afford it but we have bleech my mum used to be a hairdresser so shes doing it yeah so yes:)

any help to my questions oir advice would be good thanks

I have dark brown hair i want to bleech it?

Hi Sweetie,

What product are you using? Look in your area or online for a beauty supply store that carries salon products (in my area we have a Sallys beuty supply outlet" ) and look for the real professional stuff like "L'oreor Super Blue" This is the stuff that hairsylist use. If you are going for a platinum type blonde (that is an almost white "gwen stefani" type blonde) be sure to add some "RGC" (red gold corrector) as almost all brown hair has undertones of red. Without RGC you will get a golden tone that is hard to correct later. Be sure to follow application with a good quality conditioner and continue to use it regularly to maintain soft texture. Love and Luck--MissDelanne

I have dark brown hair i want to bleech it?

Im unsure as to why you want to bleach it twice? Once should do it the required amount of time it tells you on the packet.

Having said that i bleached my dark brown hair once and it went yellow which i thought was ace but i was a rocker.

You should probably by a lightening kit first and then do the bleach.

If your mum used to be a hairdresser wont she know this?

I have dark brown hair i want to bleech it?

never ever ever never ever ever bleach your hair ASH BLOND color it Ive used ASH many many times it looks better then normal blonds BABY blond is nice also .plz don't bleach it

I have dark brown hair i want to bleech it?

Leave it alone. Don't bleach it. Brunettes are naturally beautiful and require little effort. Talk to your mom about putting some pretty honey or carmel highlites in. Think Jennifer Aniston or Jennifer Lopez, depending on your face and hair color, of course. Stay natural. Overprocessed and overdone is never beautiful. You say her hair isn't "fully fried". Just give it time.... Bleach is incredibly harsh on hair. I get my hair colored and highlited with natural honey tones. It is soft and beautiful. Enhance your own beauty naturally and create your own look; not someone else's. Good luck!

I have dark brown hair i want to bleech it?

why not belch it ?

I have dark brown hair i want to bleech it?

lol my mum bleached my hair blonde so now I've got black blonde hair... hence my dp...lol mine lasted for more than 4months i guess...

I have dark brown hair i want to bleech it?

If your hair is really dark it will never get the shade of bleached blond you see on people with natural light base. Since your mother is a hairdresser herself she knows that too much peroxide on hair is fatal.. Why don't you bleach instead some of the hair and have like highlights? It looks nice and not that unnatural.

I have dark brown hair i want to bleech it?

Man i think u are sick for wanting to bleech your. Go get your head checked

I have dark brown hair i want to bleech it?

mhmm.. it depends on the strength of the bleach you're using..

I have dark brown hair i want to bleech it?

My friend is a hair dresser person and she told me that if you have dark colored eyes it's really hard to get your hair blonde, it just turns out yellow or orangish. But if you have light eyes it's eaiser and it takes less time. Shouldn't your mom know what to do?

I have dark brown hair i want to bleech it?

Use lemon juice, not bleach. Or peroxide.
