Conditioner is used after you wash your hair. I don't like leave-in conditioners, I think they make hair feel greasy. I would suggest buying the conditioner that is paired with the shampoo you use, they are normally right next to each other on the shelf or color-coded. Make sure you rinse it out completely when you use it or your hair can become sticky (gross.)

For the conditoner, you use it after you wash your hair, and you look at the label. If it says something about being approved for every-day use, use it every day. And there are different types of conditioner: some you put on in the shower and wash it out after like... 30 seconds, then theres stuff you leave in. I reccomend the wash out, because the leave in sometimes makes flakes, or makes hair greasy. What kind of brand varies per person. I use suave, you might be better off with some other brand. It depends on preferences. Just look at the label and make sure its meant for your type of hair (mine is normal to oily, my bro's is normal to dry, it jus depends.)

The easiest route to healthy hair is not to wash it every single day. The idea is to wash it one day, and just rinse it really well the next. Your scalp's natural oils will do a lot of the conditioning.

Also, the right conditioner isn't as important as finding a gentle shampoo and using it somewhat sparingly.

Pantene seems to be one of the major brands that's good, but my favorites are MOP (Modern Organic Products) or ArTec Kiwi Shampoo and conditioner. MOP and ArTec are salon types, but they are worth the price for sure. They aren't too heavy, and they rinse out well.

Lastly, if you are concerned about your hair's overall health, make sure you are getting enough oil in your diet. I'm not just talking about fats, I'm talking about good oils like fish or olive. They will help keep everything from head to toe, inside and out moisturized and in top condition.

Leaving any type of conditioner on is not harmful. its actually good. If u color your hair u might want to ask your stylist b/c it might strip your color. Conditioner is good at any time, especially if u r going out to the beach or out on any hot day, it protects the hair. If u use color on your hair there is even conditioner w/sunscreen. Personally I have been using deep conditioner and left it on until the next wash ( it works better than mousse).

treat it right and wash it every day whether u have conditioner or not. USE A COMB when your hair is wet instead of a brush and try to let it air dry instead of blow dry. brush it every day too. start from the bottom and work your way to the top. i don't really think that there is a difference between night condinitoner and day conditioner. i like to use cheap brand names so that it still works even when you don't need to spend a lot of money. the best kind of shampoo or conditioner is the right one for your hair it says on the front what kind of hair its for and check with someone if its right for u. oh yea and if u have dandruff or lice, then ask a doctor what kind of brand u should use for your hair

It depends on your hair type. Sometimes you don't need to even condition every day. These conditioners build up on the hair, which can lead to a vicious cycle of shampooing your hair too much because it feels oily. That then causes your hair to become dry but still having an oily scalp. Shampoo and condition only as needed.
