What products do you use for your hair if it is fried, and has alot of dead ends?

My hair has dead ends, and I know i have to go get it cut, but the other parts of my hair (the parts i can't cut) like the top is fried like. It looks frizzed, but more of a brittle look to it. What products do you recommend for my hair? Like a shampoo or conditioner? Something that will help it go back to normal. I think it may be from straightening my hair too much. I have stopped using a straightener for 3 wks now, I only straightened in like 2 times out of those 3 weeks. What eles can I do to get my pretty hair back?

Also- another question... I am growing my hair out long, what should I do to help it grow healthy? and to make it grow faster and better... please answer both if u can. Thanks so much guys!!

Dead Ends - Just a trim...

Fried - A trim or cut will help

Shampoo less often (when you do only use warm water, wash in shower or sink if possible, make sure hair is thoroughly wet before shampooing, make sure its all rinsed out)

Deep Condition

Ok, well I hope that helps i dunno any products really...goodluck.

Animal placenta treatments. I wish I was kidding but that is the best thing for it I worked in a pharmacy for a year back in highschool. They will fully condition and restore better then all the conditioners that say they will. IT will also help your hair grow if you use them periodically

Outside:

1] trim ends generously

2] deep conditioner - the kind that comes in a jar - every week for a month

3] moisture replacement or damaged hair formula shampoo and conditioner

4] avoid all other products for a month or so

5] avoid blow dryer, straightener, curling iron, hot rollers too.

Inside:

6] avoid fried, fast, and junk foods - even diet junk foods

7] eat 2 servings daily of quality protein, 3 low fat dairy, 3 whole grain bread, cereal, rice, and pasta; and lots of veggies and fruits [ fill up on those ]

8] drink 1/2 gallon of water a day

9] take a daily multivitamin with minerals

10] exercise will improve blood flow to all parts of body, including scalp

I work at great clips and i use sleek shampoo and conditioner it can be a little pricy but it helps dead hair it doesnt make dead hair go away. also use sleek serum. get your hair trimmed at least once a month get your layers trimmed. nothing will make the dead ends go away really. since you straiten your hair so much you should use a straightener use a spray while you do it go to a hair salon and you can buy all the products there.

ok what you can use tresemme it's a conditioner and shampoo buy them for silky and smooth, and then use like a glosser for your hair for it not to be frizzy and less dead... sometimes there's vitamins that you can take for you hair can grow. also if you use a dryer alot that could also cause your hair to fry.. there is a couple of things that you can put in your hair before your straighten it or blow dry.. also when you take a shower you can deep condition your hair.. with the conditioner that you use leace it on for like 10 minutes every other day, or maybe like once a wekk you choose and that can help

This truly is the ultimate guide to growing your hair out. All of the steps are relatively easy except the first one. That is the hardest, but I went through with it and it has definetly paid off. These steps have already made my hair more beautiful. Hope this helps :)

i was in your boat two years ago, hun...its good your realized how much damage straighteners can do!! if you want to continue using it at all, first get a good heat protectant to help keep your hair from getting damaged...i have used ones by loreal, nexxus, and tresseme that do just fine. a good alternative to straightening is blow drying with straighening cream. its a little less harsh on your hair. also, perhaps in the future, its a good idea to invest in a really nice hair straighener instead of the crappy ones you get at walmart and target...chi and sedu make really good ones. they're pricey, but totally worth it....they damage your hair much less.

you should get the ends trimmed every 4-6 weeks....and try to use the least amount of heat styling possible, maybe only on the weekends or something. the other days, wear your gorgeous locks natural, or in a braid, or in a ponytail, or scrunch it....anything but heat. while your doing this, get a really good shampoo for dry and damaged hair. i know garnier makes one ('for extremely damaged/processed hair') if you dont want to spend a lot, but mine is from Joico (K-Pak reconstruction set) and it's amazing stuff....it comes with a deep conditioner, which you'll need. deep condition once a week...the bottle may say to only leave it in for 5 mins or something, but instead put it on, wrap your head in a towel, and leave it in for 20-30 mins, or even overnight. (you cant do any damage by doing this....it only helps). also, dont wash your hair every day...it strips the natural oils. but you can (and should) condition every day

Lastly, if you want to grow your hair long, the best way is to eat healthy, lay off the heat and dye (if you use it), and just be patient!! hair grows about 6 inches a month, and there isnt much you can do but just wait for it to grow out. you can take hair vitamins which can improve the thickness and luster of your hair, but they wont do much to speed up the growth

If you do all these things, you will start to see improvement in a few weeks, and in a while you will notice some length. get a trim, keep that heat away, and condition...soon your beautiful hair will be good as new!!! hope i gave you some good advice hun...good luck!! :)
