How do Depilatories or Hair Removal Creams work exactly?

How do Depilatories or Hair Removal Creams work exactly?

I mean what happens to your hair, and your skin...? What makes the hair just fall out?

Is it really healthy to use these creams?

since its a chemical that comes in direct contact with ur skin and its strong enough to burn the hair, i wont say its healthy.

it will have some long term side effect. many people r already complaining about having sensitive skin. i prefer waxing since it only pulls out ur hair from the root. as long as u dont put water or any liquid on the skin immediately after waxing, u'll b fine. this gives the pores a chance to close without trapping any thing inside them

its fine to use, haior removal creams just dissolve the hair on the surface so it can be removed, the hair roots are not taken out or damaged so yeah, its safe

Usually either sodium or calcium hydroxide cause the hair to melt because they are highly alkaline and caustic. That's also what can cause the skin irritation.

I have used them. Some cause more irritation than others. It depends on the sensitivity of your skin and coarseness of your hair. I think you just have to try and see.
