Anyone know good shampoos and conditioners for keeping coloured hair shiny and healthy?

Just had my hair dyed a dark brown but dont want it going dull and losing its colour so soon so wondered if anyone could recommend good, reasonably priced shampoos and conditioners that will look after my coloured hair. i have tried a couple but because theres so many, i'm not sure which ones really are the best

I know it sounds kinda crazy BUT, one day i picked up the Dove Ice Shine and i went to a party and i SWEAR i got like 5 compliments on my hair how shiney and full it was, i ussualy use like Enjoy and Lanza but the dove ice shine shampoo really works!

I use Treseme. It is not specifically for coloured hair, although my own is both coloured and streaked, and it keeps my hair in excellent condition considering the torture I put it through every 6 weeks or so. I don't like to pay over the odds for my shampoo etc and this is a salon style one that does the job for a reasonable price.

There are lots of products available now which are especially formulated for coloured hair, to protect your colour and make it last longer.ask at your local salon for a recommendation, as salon products are far better quality than the ones that can be bought in shops.

My girlfriend uses TRESemme vitamin e %26amp; aloe colour revitalising shampoo for colour treated hair and she uses the matching conditioner. It's without doubt the best her hair has looked. Asda or Wilkinsons for the cheapest price.

I have to agree with the person above, i swear by TIGI honey %26amp; Oatmeal. It's like a treatment but you can use it for everyday use, when you use it you can feel how creamy and rich it feels.

My hairs been absolutely used and abused to the limits and yet my hair is perfectly soft and silky still and it makes my colour last for ages and ages with no fading whatsoever. We can't both be wrong, give it a go!

I've been using Pantene Ice Shine. It's wonderful, and I got great, shiny hair.

As for the color going dull, try doing a "color glaze" on it if it starts looking dull.

I use Aveda colour care range...Its FANTASTIC!! It comes in four different varieties depending on your hair colour - very dark, dark, red and blonde. I use Black Malva, which is for very dark hair. The shampoo costs approximately 拢7.50 and the conditioner costs about 拢17.00. I know this seems an awful lot of money, but the conditioner contains semi-permenant colour so it really extends the colour of your hair. I can be used on hair that is dyed or normal hair. Aveda can be bought in most beauty shops, some hair saloons and in House of Fraiser. I highly recommend Aveda and have recently found it worth while to spend a lot of money on your hair. If you think about it the ends of your hair have been around for years so it important to really look after it.

Beware... I have been told by my hairdresser that Treseme is very bad for your hair. It strips it and leaves it dry and dull over time. The ingedients in most high street shampoos are the same as washing up liquid. YUCK!

I use Pureology Hydrate and I love it. It definitely helps my hair color last longer. It also makes it soft and keeps away the frizz. It's a little more expensive, but it's worth it

I use about 4 different brands of shampoo and conditioner and use a different one each day so my hair doesn't get used to the same one.

I like Charles Worthington, Aussie, Citree Shine and Herbal Essence. If the ends get a bit over processed (which happened when my hair was longer) I used Rusk Calm shampoo and conditioner which I got from a hairdressing supplies shop.
