Damaged hair help...?

I recently moved to another country and I went to a hair dresser here. The guy cut off 2 inches (which was bad enough) but he colored my hair an ugly strawberry blond. The case is that my hair has turned orange with the sun. So I went back for this guy to re-color it back to the blond I had. Now my hair is a wreck. What can I do to help it become healthy again and when can I color it again??

Damaged hair help...?

Okay, this may sound crazy but it works. Coat your hair with olive oil and leave it on for an hour or two. Then shampoo as usual. Also I've heard sesame oil is good too. Another tip, when you condition, leave it on for awhile before rinsing out. Use a hair mask like Nuetragena. These really work.

Hope this helps. Always condition after shampooing. Use a nice rich one. Can't go wrong with Pantene.

What is the best product to repair hair damaged by perming.?

I have very kinky/nappy hair. So I permed it and I don't like it I want to repair the permed hair while keeping the new growth strong and healthy.

What is the best product to repair hair damaged by perming.?

I have had this problem before. I usually clean the hair, appying a carrot oil conditoner on afterward, which keeps the hair soft and manageble, while also instilling moisture and nutrients. It's probably best that you leave the conditoner in for awhile to somewhat weigh the hair down so you do not fluff when the weather changes. You could use a ceramic dryer (i.e. Revlon) to blow and brush the hair straight, making the new growth less noticable. The instrument also seals in moisture, just use a heat protector. Make sure to keep regular trims (every 6 weeks) if you can, to prevent the new growth from splitting and breaking. And MINIMALLY PROCESS. If you dye your hair or use any harsh chemicals on it, you should probably give those a break until your hair reaches it's full potential. Hope my answer was of some help.

Remember, a protein reconstructor is not a conditioner. After a protein reconstructor, you need to deep-condition. It will probably take a while to get it back into shape.

Growing Out Mixed Hair?

I am Latina/White/Asian/Black/Native American

First off, I think it would be good if I told you my hair care regime so you can get a feel of what I do now...

-multivitamin

-8-10 cups of water daily

-exercise 3-5x weekly

-pretty healthy diet

-massage scalp daily

-shampoo weekly

-condition daily

-deep conditioner weekly

-protein treatment 2x a month

Okay, second of all is my hair type. I have tight, frizzy, almost afro curls in around the crown of my hair and in the underneath layers. The rest of my hair is in medium-tight curls and waves. It is pretty soft, and is shiny, too.

I just want to know how I can grow my hair faster (if you're just going to post, "it's impossible to grow hair faster or "hair grows about 1/2 inch a month" don't post at all).

I've heard camellia oil works really well, and have also heard about kelp tablets and HairTopia vitamins, but what really works?

Growing Out Mixed Hair?

i am only going to say this as a suggestion i am also mixed and my sister has the same hair type it is more of a suggestion to grow stronger hair so that your hair shaft doesnt get weak and your hair doesnt break off faster while your growing it. For starters dont use shampoos and conditioners that you can find in a regular drug store...period. Buy from makers like paul mitchell, nexxus....etc. the reason for this is the shampoos and cond. from the drug store have fillers in them like clay or mud which can coat the hairshaft and leave them thick and heavy can cause the hair to break off. also use a shampoo with tea tree oil in it every once in a while will strip off extra dht and will help hair to grow better (not necessarily faster) but when you do use the shampoo make sure you use a really good conditioner because the shampoo strips everything off. make sure you get your ends clipped every six weeks i know it seems like your going backwards but it helps. have you ever had a friend who cut all their hair off and it seemed like only yesterday because all their hair has grown back?? its because they were starting with healthy strands...keep those split ends down and....i cant stress enough have a great cond. to tell you the truth as long as you have a great cond. all of the other things (like hot oils, deep cond.) you can do as maint. once a month. hope this helps

Growing Out Mixed Hair?

keep trimming it. JUST A LITTLE TRIM!!! trimming it helps it grow out longer and keeps it looking healthy.

Growing Out Mixed Hair?

Personally, I massage coconut oil onto my hair before I wash it. Then I shampoo and condition it. Use this method for a prolonged period of time and you'll see good results. Its very healthy for your hair!.. well, it is for mine because I have long, black, and silky hair. Hope I helped.

Growing Out Mixed Hair?

Your hair is curly, maybe you just dont notice the growth. Ive heard that HairTopia vitiamins work.

Growing Out Mixed Hair?

Yes it is possible. You can try various pills for this purpose along with fish oil, kelp, or vitamin B tablets. I've tried HairTopia and it does work very well. Another option is to straighten your hair because hair is longer when straight. Remember that anything you have to rub on to your hair will not work.

Growing Out Mixed Hair?

i'm not sure what does work, but i tried dr. miracles and it made my scalp tingle, but not on the first try.

I don't think it did anything.

good luck, though...

Growing Out Mixed Hair?

wow! you're so mixed (great thing :) )and pretty (based on your pic)! i think you seem to take very great care of your hair already with the massages and cleaning and conditioning. i personally think that's the best way to keep your hair growing and going. you might want to try Vitamin E and Biotin pills.

Growing Out Mixed Hair?

well sounds like you have a good diet and all that other good stuff that is suppose to work on your hair i have heard that prenatal (vitamins when your pregnant) really works good luck

How can i make my hair look healthy and shine...?

plz help thnks

How can i make my hair look healthy and shine...?

I find when I'm in a place with soft water, my hair is softer and smoother and shinier. You can get a water softener for your house.

How can i make my hair look healthy and shine...?

Use soap

How can i make my hair look healthy and shine...?

Eat a balanced diet, consistently, and drink plenty of water. Probably a good idea to shampoo and condition, too.

How can i make my hair look healthy and shine...?

i read somewhere that eating peanut butter and bananas makes your hair shiny

How can i make my hair look healthy and shine...?

Wash your hair with a shampoo and conditioner with a lot of moisture in it (look for humectant or moisture in the name). Rinse with cool water, this helps to lock in the moisture. After you get out of the shower, towel dry your hair and put some smoothing cream or something like biosilk or frizzease in it. Let it dry naturally. I usually put my hair in a pony tail or pig tails or something. If I don't do that it will usually get kinda frizzy. I've done all these things and it has really helped my hair to look a lot better.

How can i make my hair look healthy and shine...?

rub bacon grease in

How can i make my hair look healthy and shine...?

eat eggs. don't shampoo with eggs, the warm water makes em' fry up in your hair and cold water would just take too long. i heard of using mayo for shampoo and even beer, but a good shampoo %26amp; condidtion probably works just as good without the bad smell, lol

I skip the shampoo %26amp; use just the conditioner, sometimes (so my hair doesn't dry out).

How can i make my hair look healthy and shine...?

wash and use a really good conditioner for a while before washing out. use hair oil.

How can i make my hair look healthy and shine...?

pantene pro-v

it actually works like the commercials!

How can i make my hair look healthy and shine...?

Frizzy Hair Therapy?

I have just straightened my hair. It is now less curly but a little frizzier. I am looking for suggestions on hair care products that are the best for my hair to get it back to being healthy and shiny like it was prior to straightening. Looking for products like leave in's, conditioners that sort of thing. I have used products in the past, but those seem to dry the hair out.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL:)

Frizzy Hair Therapy?

I have 2 products to recommend to you highly!

The first is Infusium 23's leave in conditioner. My friend with naturally curly hair uses this religiously. It keeps your hair moist and smelling really good. It's a liquid rather than a cream, so it can be messy so I would recommend putting it in a spray bottle for more control. Just be careful using it when wearing light colored clothes because sometimes it does stain the clothes.

The other product to use is John Frieda's Frizz-Ease Serum in original formula. It is the ONLY product I've used that gives my hair a smooth and soft look without weighing down my hair. And you only use a tiny bit.

Both products are very affordable and can be bought anywhere like Target and Walgreens. Good luck!

Frizzy Hair Therapy?

After straightening your hair you should finger comb a dime size of serum through it, smoothing it out.. especially at the ends. This is a main contender when straightening your hair to get frizz out.

The number one product that people go crazy for is Biosilk's serum. Joico is also good, and Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny serum is made especially for making your hair as straight as possible.

Frizzy Hair Therapy?

Yess there is this thing that is called glaire shineing gel and its awsome i use it all the time cause my haire gets frizzy and you you can tell the difrence try it out.
