Fried hair?

I have seriously dry hair that breaks a lot cuz i have bleached and dyed it quite a bit for the past 10 years. does anybody know how to restore fried hair and make it healthier so it will grow linger and not break? Please don't tell me to stop dying my hair- obviously i know that. thanks!!

Limit your use of hot styling tools like curling/flat irons and blowdryers. let your hair dry naturally. when you do style it try and use a leave-in conditioner before you style it.

Limit the number of times you wash your hair each week. it gives a bit of time for the hair oils produced naturally by your scalp to build up and moisturize the hair.

Always use moisturizing shampoos and conditioners or ones for damaged or chemically treated hair. also avoid putting anymore chemicals in your hair.

Always wash your hair in lukewarm water. using hot water will dry out the cuticle and enhance any existing damage and use cool water in the final rinse to seal newly added moisture back into the cuticle

Always used wide toothed combs and onlyr brush your hair when really needed to or youll break your hair.

it might be hard but its worth it to have healthy hair. and if this doesnt help see a professional and get salon conditioning treatments. they help alot. :D

If you're straightening it, curling it or blowdrying it, stop. Also, try using a mostiourising (i so spelt that wrong) shampoo and conditioner. Just read the labels and see what's best for replenishing dry hair.

You have to stop dying it... bleaching it is very, very hard on it.

You could also be sure to take vitamins (which promotes healthy everything - including hair), use conditioner every time you shampoo, use a heat-activated leave in conditioner when you blow dry it, and a heat-activated gel or mousse if you use those.

Also keep curling iron and flat iron use to a minimum.

The best way to find the best products for your hair is to try them all. That would be pretty expensive but go over to a friends house and use some of her stuff. See how it works, and just keep trying new things. Hair may work with products from this company and not that company....it's all trial and error.

If I can suggest something, I would suggest you try a hot oil treatment....for a cheaper way to have great soft and silky hair with less frizzies, warm up some olive oil (regular cooking stuff) in the microwave and massage it into your hair while it is dry. Wrap it up in a warm towel from the drier and sit for an hour or so. Maybe give yourself a facial at the same time. Then get in the shower, and shampoo out all the oil (because water won't get the oil out--oil and water don't mix) and then condition your hair. Viola! Beautiful silky hair.

The most key thing to protecting your locks is to stay away from all heat. Yep, that means no hairdrier, no straightner, no curling iron either....It's very hard not to advert to these products but just try it for a week. Don't blow dry your hair for a week....try it. I know it's hard not to but if you stay away from things with heat such as blow driers, curling irons, straightners, etc....you will notice a HUGE change in the feel and look of your hair. It will be so much more healthy.

well, i would recommed that u just go to the salon and just get the dead ends cut off cuz then u will be able to grow new healthy hair. and if u straighten or use any heat on ur hair then u should get a thermal spray or heat protecting serum so it reduces the damage. because most of the damage is caused by the heat, not so much the dye, so just use a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. i reccomend garnier fructis sleek and shine. also get the leave-in conditioner.

good luck :)

put a product called fastfood(not what it sounds like) its a leave in conditioner that prevents split ends and adds moisture. It really light and you can buy it at www.aghaircosmetics.com

It smells really good too. Try it whats the worst that could happen:) I love this stuff!
